We’re excited to announce a significant addition to our leadership team at LJ Star. Joel Feldman has joined us as chief operating officer, bringing with him a wealth of experience in engineering leadership and product development that will help shape our future growth and innovation.

Throughout his career, Joel has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to developing premium solutions that meet complex customer needs. Engineering Excellence Meets Strategic Vision

Joel’s journey to LJ Star includes more than 26 years at Swagelok in the Cleveland/Akron area, where he ultimately served as Vice President of Engineering, leading a team of 150 associates at this $2 billion (USD) company. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Product Development at Lucas Oil Products, where he focused on creating new technology and intellectual property while advancing product lines to meet market needs.

This combination of technical expertise and strategic leadership is particularly valuable as we continue to evolve our product offerings. Joel’s experience in finding the sweet spot between market needs, technology capabilities and product development will be crucial as we explore new opportunities for innovation.

Building on a Strong Foundation

As Joel steps into the role previously held by Ted Mielnik, who retired at the end of last year, he’s focused on several key initiatives:

Understanding Customer Needs: Joel emphasizes the importance of working closely with customers to understand their challenges and future requirements. This customer-centric approach will help guide our product development and innovation strategies.

Leveraging Cross-Company Synergies: One of Joel’s priorities is strengthening our collaboration with sister company Tank Components, ensuring we maximize the potential of our combined capabilities.

Driving Innovation: With two patents to his name, Joel brings proven innovation experience to LJ Star. His background in developing new technologies and intellectual property will help us continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in process observation equipment.

A Commitment to Community

Beyond his professional achievements, Joel demonstrates a strong commitment to community service. He serves on the board of Progress with Chess, a nonprofit organization focused on youth development through after-school programs and serves on the Operations Committee for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
