Explosion-proof lighting and cameras comprise critical accessories since sight glass observation ports may be mounted on material processing equipment in an explosion-proof zone that is either underground or near the mine. LJ Star provides a wide range of explosion-proof-rated LED vibration-resistant lighting for greater clarity coupled with durability. Explosion-proof or rated cameras allow for remote observation to protect workers while allowing for process observation.
For the fittings, flanges, and other accessories used in conjunction with our sight glasses and other visual indicators, we carefully select the appropriate stainless or alloys based on the specific chemical composition and pH of the process mediums involved, for long-lasting performance and reliability even in the most demanding mining environments.
Protective shields made of mica, FEP or Kel-F material can be mounted on the process side of the glass to extend the useful life of a sight glass, although these shields diminish visibility compared to the transparency of regular sight glass.
